Atagamaton

Atagamaton Poster
G++ Gallery is proud to unveil a new interactive instrument created by Scott Amos and David Parfit with help from the interaction designers and engineers at Limbic Media. Atagamaton lets a user control electro-mechanical devices salvaged from gutted film projectors, old typerwriters, radios and other “obsolete” technologies to produce unique sounds and movements. To play Atagamaton, a user simply moves their hands over top of any of the nine devices. One or two users can simultaneous control up to four parts to create rich and expressive audiovisual compositions.

Atagamaton goes live on Friday, January 27, 2011 at 8:00 pm for its opening reception. Scott Amos, David Parfit and the interaction engineers of Limbic Media will be in attendance.
