Interactive Film & Video Series, Official Launch

G++ Gallery invites you to its Interactive Film & Video Series launch on Thursday, November 10, 2011 at 8:00 pm. The series begins with Ectoplasmic Scream, an interactive multimedia installation by Doug Jarvis. The Interactive Film & Video Series at G++ pairs five film and video artists with the team of interaction designers and engineers at Limbic Media to produce five interactive window-front multimedia installations. Each installation will have an interactive component that will enable the public to directly manipulate multimedia content through a variety of interactive mechanisms including: gesture, voice, physical interfaces, mobile devices, and the web. The Interactive Film and Video Series at G++ was made possible through the joint BC Film/BC Arts Council “Interactive Fund”.

In addition to the installation, the launch will feature work from the other four artists selected for the series: Annie Briard (Vancouver), Yifan Wang (China), Scott Amos (Victoria), and Danielle Gotell (Saskatoon). Come and meet the artists and engineers that will be working together over the next year to bring interactive art to the street level.
